Hearts and Swirls Ch 57
Hello everyone I must say you were all so innovative last week with "Circus theme" I agree it is hard unless you have the stamps but you really did pull out all the stops. Thank you for the support. This week it might be a but easy maybe you could go all romantic as we are asking for "hearts and swirls" a favourite of mine. I have had this tando frame for ages and this was the perfect opportunity to use it. The frame is painted with sky blue and toned down with metallic rubs. the background is covered with paper and swirls stamped and some have been heat embossed. Then I made bits and bobs to decorate. I loved making this :). Oh and I have painted the stand and used a resist clear emboss technique to decorate with a swirl. Don't forget Carol is offering a prize this month. Make sure you visit Janet and Chrissie and Carol to see their wonderful projects. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comments. Hugs Sandra X

Artful Times Challenge Stencils or Masks
Von and Neet are asking for a project using masks or stencils. well I have left it a bit late but better late than never I say. I have painted a small canvass with rose pink acrylic paint and then stamped a background of lines with purple ink. I have layed over a mask of flowers and pounced it with gold ink then over the top I have layered a swirl flower mask and used a sponge and blackcurrant acrylic paint. I have punched 3 silhouette butterflies to finish as it is a bit moonlight looking, if you squint at it LOL :) Thanks for looking hugs Sandra X

Circus Sideshows Ch 56
Wow you really did some wonderful altered pegs and paperclips thank you for joining us. This week we are going to the circus so anything to do with the circus please. I must confess I am no circus fan, ever since I was a wee girl it always made me cry but not with joy LOL much to Mums despair. But I did enjoy circus sideshows especially the helter skelter. I have made a tag and DI the back ground and gave it a metallic rub also back stamped using Andy Skinner sideshow stamps and a text. The bunting is die cut and the helter skelter has been stamped then cut out so I could raise it up a bit. Really looking forward to seeing your projects this week. Don't forget Carol is offering a prize this month. Make sure you visit Janet and Chrissie and Carol to see their wonderful projects. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Charms
Happy Saturday everyone and its a bit sunny here in East Anglian today and a tad warmer :) Hooray at last. But I did manage to make theses tyvek beads for the challenge over at Artful Times who are asking for charms and we get to swap which I love doing. I have made a charm to hang off your handbag and they are paper beads made out of tyvek. When my mojo goes walk about I make a store of these beads.
Here's how
Paint the whole sheet with colourful thoughts multisurface paint or similar product and then cut into triangles and roll up on a chop stick gluing with PVA as you roll. Leave to set dry then roll a small tyvek piece painted in a different colour over the centre with PVA. Once dry slide off the chop stick and use a small cocktail stick through bead centre and dip the bead into water based ink and sprinkle with gold embossing powder and blast with the heat gun (mind your fingers). The tyvek will shrivel back and seal once cool gentle slide off cocktail stick and you have a unique bead as everyone is different. You can also wrap bits of fabric like organza anything that melts really for added interest. See the middle bead for this.
I then assembled to make charm. Thanks for looking enjoy your Sunday.

Travel OOAH Ch 54
Hello all just loved your faces projects thank you for joining in with us and for visiting my blog and leaving lovely comments :) April has arrived and with it a new month of challenges, we are very lucky to have the very talented Carol with us as guest for the month of April and she is offering a prize for the month. Do visit her blog Krafty Pieces to find out about her talents. This week our thoughts turn to travel, great theme to get us in the mood for holidays. I have used a luggage label and stained it with Tea Dye, turquoise blue and I have travelled to New York. I have used splodge's and text for the background stamping in sepia and the words in the turquoise and finished with the statue of liberty (I love this little stamp). Do visit Janet and Chrissie and Carol to see their wonderful projects. Looking forward to seeing your
projects. Hugs Sandra X
