Charms

Happy Saturday everyone and its a bit sunny here in East Anglian today and a tad warmer :) Hooray at last. But I did manage to make theses tyvek beads for the challenge over at Artful Times who are asking for charms and we get to swap which I love doing. I have made a charm to hang off your handbag and they are paper beads made out of tyvek. When my mojo goes walk about I make a store of these beads.

 Here's how

Paint the whole sheet with colourful thoughts multisurface paint or similar product and then cut into triangles and roll up on a chop stick gluing with PVA as you roll. Leave to set dry then roll a small tyvek piece painted in a different colour over the centre with PVA. Once dry slide off the chop stick and use a small cocktail stick through bead centre and dip the bead into water based ink and sprinkle with gold embossing powder and blast with the heat gun (mind your fingers). The tyvek will shrivel back and seal once cool gentle slide off cocktail stick and you have a unique bead as everyone is different. You can also wrap bits of fabric like organza anything that melts really for added interest. See the middle bead for this.
I then assembled to make charm. Thanks for looking enjoy your Sunday.
