Hatters Birthday Ch 52

Hello fabulous bonnet makes last week, and Happy Birthday the Hatters I can't believe a year has past us by. We have made so many talented crafting friends it has been a wonderful experience for me. Thank you for joining us and giving your support with lovely kind comments.
To celebrate Janet has made a spinning game so I gave it a virtual  twirl and landed on vintage hooray my favourite :)
I have altered a little box, it has been painted with heather blue acrylic and dabbed with gold paint and rubbed with metallic to distress and age it. Text stamp in sepia and decorated with buttons and lace. The inside has also been painted and matching paper used. We do a monthly swap and this is for my swap partner. Go on give it a twirl and make something special to celebrate our birthday.  Do visit Janet and Chrissie. Christmas Box

Thanks you for joining us last week with your beautiful Christmas makes and yes it is still Christmas at Out of A Hat.  This week I have made a box (actually it started life as a black box that wallet came in) I think could be used for a man.
I painted with metallic gold paint stamped text very faintly into it die cut a swirl in black sparkle made an organza flower with one of my hand made beads in the centre. The tag has been heat embossed around the edges. The inside is simply painted gold aw well. You will see this another time. Do take a look at Florence, Janet and Chrissie lovely projects. Decorate a Box or Bag

 Hope you are all finding time to craft with the excitement of Team GB I must admit I have really enjoyed this Olympics. I have still found time to craft as well. Thank you to all those who made a Lines project they were fab. So the
Out of A Hat challenge this week is decorate a box or gift bag. Hopefully you will be inspired this week. I love decorating boxes and recently did this box for my friend who had a very special

 birthday. It was the box my new mobile phone arrived in. It has been covered in paper and lightly painted over, stamped onto and embossed, rubbed with gold leafing pen and added embellishments. I have popped a button on the front to make a draw and inside I popped a matching altered domino book (sorry about the photo for this) and one of my little bears  (Louis 4ins high, designed and hand made by me)  the little sweater was hand knitted by my Mum.
