Picture Frame OOAH Ch 58

Love your Hearts and Swirls projects thanks for joining us and for your lovely comments, also a big THANK YOU to Carol for a fab month of her as our Guest DTM. Hopefully you will love this theme just as much we ask you to decorate a picture frame or a frame. I have done this small box frame the frame itself has been painted, crackled in places and then I stamped with clear water based emboss ink and over painted then rubbed back. The scissors are stamped in black. I then rubbed metallic into the painted areas. The inside is a little sewing shop window, piles of buttons a dress form and black lace. this month we welcome Von from Artful Times as our GDT she is a lovely lady and very talented I do hope you will all welcome her and also drop by the Artful Times challenge it's worth it.
Make sure you visit Janet and Chrissie to see their wonderful projects. Looking forward to seeing your projects. Thank you for visiting my blog and your lovely comments. Hugs Sandra X

Hatters Party Bingo

Morning everyone wow I am blown away by the RSVP's everyone has a wonderful imagination thank you for joining in with the challenge and I hope you partied the week away. To finish off the party we are having a bingo game with lots of lovely elements but you must include a hat.

There is a wonderful top hat template on the Somerset Studios site maybe you can decorate this. I was in sewing mode so I used my teapot and teacups in fabric and a beautiful lace doily. The background fabric is hand dyed cotton velvet. The line I Hat, button, text, stamp. The teapot and teacups are stamped with a swirl, the text is how to make the perfect cup of tea, the buttons in each corner are handmade ceramic. The hats are a cherry and teapot lid. I hope you have fun with this.
Thank you for your visit to my blog and do stop by to see what Janet and Chrissie have made. Hugs Sandra XXX

I can't quite believe we are at Chelleng number 19 where has the time gone. The theme is Lines and I have choosen a tag with lines of sewing. I have used paper strips, fabric strips, vintage lace, and a line drawing stamp for the face, this was a freebie from craft stamper. I have machine sewn lines and hand stiched a border line around the stamped image. I am looking forward to seeing what you can do. And do take a look at Florence, Janet and Chrissie to see there lovely projects. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs Sandra XXX

A Little Bit of Sewing

Hello All, fabulous Time projects for last weeks
Out of A Hat challenge. So lovely to see you all joining us. Just to remind you that Janet has a special prize which will be randomly drawn at the beginning of August.
This week is a personal favourite of mine "A touch of sewing" it does not have to be much just a little to enhance your project.
I am just starting a fabric book, well really it is mixed media sample book with lots of fabric as I want it to be a place where I can try out lots of techniques. The heart is my front page and below the second page.
I have assembled this piece using,
Hessian, paper, painted used colour catcher sheet, sequin waste, patterned fabric, calico, and vintage lace. I have machined sewn around in several different colour silk threads hand stiched little crosses and beaded with pearl beads and a paper bead in the centre. Finished with a metal key. Do make sure you visit Florence, Janet and Chrissie to see there lovely projects. Thanks for stopping by. Hugs Sandra XXX

Summer Time

WOW Fantastic entries last week from our participants it is so nice to see you join in Thank You.This week it is "Summer Time" at Out of A Hat Creations, well we can dream I suppose LOL. For me it always conjures up the beach huts at Well Next The Sea North Norfolk, I so love that beach, you have the sea, sand dunes and the back drop of pine woods and of course those glorious beach huts. My little hanging is meant to depict that beach scene. I have painted in sky blue and stamped trees, the sea is blue fibres, lace for the surf and torn cardboard for the sand. The beach huts are all in fabric and have been machine sewn. The bunting is felt. So here is my Summer at Wells. Thanks you for looking and the much appreciated comments. Hope you enjoy your summer dream and I am looking forward to seeing what it is. Be sure to check out Florence, Janet and Chrissie to see what they have done for this challenge. Hugs All Sandra XXX
